Iran threatens citizens with 10 years in prison for sharing clips of Israeli attacks

Long queues formed at gas stations across the city as anxious residents prepared for potential evacuation despite official calls for calm.

Iranians expressed growing frustration and concern on Saturday as flight cancellations and panic buying gripped Tehran.

Residents said they were increasingly tired of being caught up in the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Ali from Tehran said: “We did nothing to deserve this.”

He said the strikes in the early morning hours disrupted the quiet night in the capital.

“I was woken up by my cousin, he was worried and asked me what we should do,” Ali said.

His comments reflect a growing weariness among ordinary Iranians caught between regional powers.

“It has now become a troublesome routine for us,” he added. “We are really tired of this environment, now we have to worry about Iran’s reaction.”

Another resident of the capital said that he prevented his daughter from going to school for the second time this month.

“I told him not to go to school today, not for safety reasons, but for mental health reasons,” Mohsen said.

“He was under intense pressure as he heard the news about the war, and I don’t want him to hear anything today,” he added.

Iran and Israel have been engaged in tit-for-tat attacks since April following the killing of a senior Revolutionary Guard commander in Syria’s capital.
