PORT HURON, Mich. – Port Huron police welcome new addition to their K9 team.

The K9, who comes from the Slovak Republic, will work with his handler, Caleb Paul.

The 14-month-old German Shepherd and his handler recently visited elementary and middle schools in Port Huron to introduce K9 and learn about their work with the police department.

The Port Huron Police Department is asking students around the city to help name their new K9 by inviting them to submit name suggestions and their best drawings of the new K9. The police department will review all submissions and share favorite name suggestions and drawings before announcing the K9’s new name.
