Catfish killer Alexander McCartney sentenced to at least 20 years in prison

The identity of the little girl who committed suicide after being harassed by McCartney can now be revealed as 12-year-old Cimarron Thomas.

Cimarron lived with his mother, father and siblings in West Virginia, USA.

He played the violin, loved elephants, and chatted with friends on Snapchat.

They were an ordinary American family, but in 2018, a predator was about to bring destruction to their lives.

Cimarron took his own life rather than comply with McCartney’s immoral demands to include his younger sister in the abuse.

Her father, Ben, a US Army veteran, killed himself 18 months later, not knowing what caused his daughter’s death.

In 2021, just before McCartney was due to appear in court on the charges, investigators discovered Cimarron’s identity and what happened to him.

McCartney was ultimately charged with manslaughter; It was a charge to which he pleaded guilty earlier this year.
