Customers at McDonald’s where Trump visited applauded him for ‘engaging in the little guy’

As thousands of Trump supporters surrounded the McDonald’s restaurant, the former president spoke to people at the drive-thru, including members of the press and photographers.

Feasterville native William, who wore a Trump hat during an interview with Fox News Digital on Friday, said he loved seeing the former president visit the fast food chain, adding that “most people had a great reaction to it.”

“The only reason I came here was because Donald Trump was here,” he said. “I haven’t been here in years and now I thought I was back.”

Miguel, a longtime Feasterville resident who said he lives across the street from McDonald’s, told Fox News Digital that although he won’t vote for Trump, the visit shows the former president cares about the American people.

“Any publicity is good,” he said. “It was good to have it here. OK, it was closed that day, so there was no business going on, but it was a good showing for Trump.”

Feasterville’s third native, Joe, told Fox News Digital that it was “remarkable” that Trump came to town and worked at the local McDonald’s.

“A lot of people are happy with it,” he said. “It’s nice to have a president who seems honest and can get in touch with the little guy.”

“They were hoping he would stop at a local watering hole and have a cocktail with us,” he added. “But yeah, they were happy to see him.”

Yelp reviews have been disabled after a Bucks County McDonald’s was bombarded with politicized comments in response to the visit. CBS reported. Yelp placed an “unusual activity alert” on the McDonald’s location and decided to block any new reviews on the Yelp page to ensure user reviews reflected “authentic, first-hand” experiences with the establishment, the company told CBS MoneyWatch in a statement. But about 145 new reviews had already been posted before Yelp’s restrictive reviews.

“When we see activity significantly decrease or cease, our moderators will purge the page so that only reviews describing first-hand consumer experiences are reflected,” Yelp told CBS.

“As a small, independent business owner, it is a core value of my organization that we proudly open our doors to anyone who visits the Feasterville community,” said owner and operator Derek Giacomantonio. “That’s why I accepted former President Trump’s request to observe the transformative work experience experienced by 1 in 8 Americans: a job at McDonald’s.”

“As a former team member, I can say that this business is more than burgers and fries, it is a meaningful path to opportunity,” Giacomantonio added. “Local Pennsylvania franchisees like me are proud to provide more than 25,000 jobs across the state, and I am honored to be here today to showcase my restaurant and the incredible impact of the franchise business model.”

Visit This incident attracted particular attention because Vice President Kamala Harris claimed that she worked at McDonald’s while earning her bachelor’s degree in the 1980s. Trump has repeatedly claimed that Harris lied about working in the fast-food industry.

“I’ve now worked 15 minutes longer at McDonald’s than Kamala,” Trump said from the drive-thru window as he delivered orders.

“I’ve really wanted to do this my whole life. Now I’m going to do it because she didn’t,” he added.

Trump also claimed he spoke to McDonald’s about Harris’ claims that she was working at a fast food chain.

“He shouldn’t lie about this,” Trump said. “McDonald has confirmed four times that he has never worked here. But let’s not talk about that. It’s a great job. It’s a great country. And we’re going to make America greater than ever.”

Harris did not provide evidence that he worked there, but McDonald’s said it had no employment records dating back that far. The Harris-Walz campaign also denied Trump’s claims.

“Vice President Harris and I grew up middle class, we understand that. She actually worked at a McDonald’s,” Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz said on “The View.”

Trump critics also came under fire online for trying to downplay the McDonald’s visit as “staged,” while his supporters highlighted the apparent security measures taken for the former president, who has made numerous assassination attempts against him.

Fox News Digital has reached out to McDonald’s for comment.
