There Could Be Changes During the Bye Week for the Raiders

Regardless of how this season has gone for the Las Vegas Raiders, things could get worse during the bye week in two weeks.

The Raiders will face their divisional rival Kansas City Chiefs this week and will need to travel to Cincinnati to face the Bengals in Week 9. Two tough matches. There’s a good chance Las Vegas will face a 2-7 record heading into its bye week.

What will Coach Antonio Pierce do if the Raiders offense continues to struggle under Offensive Coordinator Luke Getsy? If “Just Win, Baby” is the Raiders’ goal, coach Pierce will need to make a move to improve this offense.

Coming off the bye week, the Raiders’ job doesn’t get any easier. They will travel to Arrowhead to face the Chiefs once again on Black Friday.

Hondo S. Carpenter Sr. and Ezekiel Trezevant discussed potential moves he could make on a recent episode of Raiders. “Las Vegas Raiders Insider Podcast.”

“I think he (the AP) will try to make some kind of change,” Trezevant said. “I’m not quite sure how significant those changes are. I think if the bye week is a little bit later in the season, those changes might be a little bit more drastic, but the way things are now, I think he’ll take it. It’s a measured approach, but I think it will happen, to be better in the bye week.” They will do their best to win, if they get out they will go between 2-7, nothing has changed in the bye week, I think it will be something big.

“It’s pretty surprising to me that they said goodbye to weeks 2-7 and there weren’t some changes,” Carpenter said. “If you’re the MEP, you say, ‘Look, this has turned around. We’re going in a good direction.’ “You’re trying to put something on the table quickly. I think I’d be shocked if it’s 2-7 after the bye.”

The Raiders will need to figure out the offense quickly if they want any chance of a comeback in the second half. We know what this Raiders defense brings to the table, now we need the offense to get involved.
