1 dead; 1 person injured in Jefferson double shooting

JEFFERSON, La. (WVUE) – One person is dead and another is in stable condition at an area hospital following a double shooting in Jefferson Sunday morning, Oct. 27, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities said they responded to the scene in the 300 block of Brooklyn Ave. after receiving a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds on the floor of a residence, the sheriff said.
