Taylor police arrested in latest stabbing in Metro Detroit

Taylor — Police arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing on Saturday; This is the city’s second knife-related homicide in recent weeks and the latest in a string of stabbings in metro Detroit.

The most recent incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. near Ecorse and Mayfair, four blocks west of Pelham Road, Taylor Police said in a statement.

“Tragically, the victim later died from his injuries at a nearby hospital,” police said. “The suspect involved in this incident has been taken into custody. Our dedicated team of detectives is actively investigating to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.”

“The Taylor Police Department wishes to extend its deepest condolences to the victim’s family and friends during this difficult time,” Taylor police said. he said. “We are committed to providing a thorough investigation and will share updates as they become available.”
