PIERSON, Fla. (WFLA) — A woman’s call to “order pizza” saved her from a man trying to rape her in a Florida field.

Over the weekend, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office received a call around 4 a.m. from a woman who called to order pizza.

But the pizza was just a cover for a desperate cry for help.

After the woman places her fake order, the operator asks if she is aware that she is calling 911.

“Yes, I’m sure I called that number,” he replied.

The 911 operator immediately realizes that the victim is in danger and triangulates his phone because he does not know the location of the area he was in after being brought there by the suspect.

Using the coordinates, authorities dispatched deputies who went out on foot and canvassed various areas to locate the victim. The sheriff’s office said there are “acres” of land in Pierson.

Deputies said it was the loud music that revealed the location of the victim and the abuser. They found the man on top of the “screaming woman.”

“He is trying to rape me. “Can you help me?” the woman shouted.

When deputies found the victim, the woman was crying and told authorities the man tried to rape her. He can be heard constantly thanking the MPs for saving him.

The deputies told the woman, “We are here now, okay.” “He caught him.”

The suspect was identified as 27-year-old Luis Diego Hernandez-Moncayo, according to the sheriff’s office. The victim told authorities the two knew each other and took the victim to a field to have a few drinks. He said that after taking a streak of cocaine, Hernandez-Moncayo “did a 180” and became extremely violent.

Deputies said Hernandez-Moncayo was in the country illegally and had requested asylum the day before the incident.

“I can’t say enough about the amazing work shown in this video and the smart thinking of this victim who found a way to call for help,” said Sheriff Mike Chitwood.

Hernandez-Moncayo is currently being held in jail on charges of attempted sexual battery, battery by strangulation, and false imprisonment. Border patrol also detained a person against him.
