Prescott: Two men accused of brandishing a gun on Hwy. 401 during road rage incident

Two people are facing charges following a “high risk” traffic stop on Highway 401 near Prescott, according to state police.

Ontario Provincial Police said reports of a “road rage incident” came in just after 10 a.m. Saturday morning.

It was reported that one of the occupants of the suspicious vehicle shot the other driver with a gun. Police teams caught the suspects while they were still on the highway and detained them.

An 18-year-old from Brampton and a 20-year-old from Caledon were charged with possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both were later released with a November court date in Brockville.
