Hyderabad: Ten TGSP personnel were suspended late Sunday on charges of involvement in the ongoing agitation.

TGSP officials, who suspended 39 police officers on similar charges earlier in the day, said in a press note that some TGSP personnel were carrying out agitations at the Battalion campus in Telangana and on the streets of many places, including Hyderabad.


“To strengthen discipline and uphold the core values ​​of Telangana Special Police (TGSP), some personnel were suspended after they participated in unauthorized agitations and strikes in public places in Telangana, including Hyderabad,” the press note said.

“Despite repeated warnings and opportunities to refrain from disruptive conduct, these individuals engaged in acts that seriously undermined Battalion discipline, threatened operational integrity and tarnished the image of the force. As a result, they violated Article 311(2)() of the Constitution of India under circumstances endangering the public interest.” “They were ordered to be dismissed in accordance with article b).”

“It was alleged that the dismissed personnel incited unrest within the Battalions, which had a detrimental impact on morale and productivity. Their actions represent a direct violation of the conduct expected of public servants, including integrity, devotion to duty, and adherence to rules that prevent behavior likely to damage the morale of the police force as well as bring it into disrepute. “Such behavior breaks the internal discipline required for TGSP to discharge its mission of maintaining peace and security across Telangana,” the officials said, adding that an investigation has been launched to examine the details of these incidents and senior officials have been instructed to closely monitor Battalion activities and reinforce disciplined , a respectful working environment.
