Victim Prevented Rape by Calling 911 to ‘Order Pizza’ – Crime Online

A Florida man was arrested earlier this month after a woman called 911 and the dispatcher pretended to “order pizza” until she realized she was about to be raped.

The pizza call came Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Around 3:45 a.m. on October 19th. The dispatcher asked further questions to determine that he was in danger. The woman didn’t know where she was, but investigators tracked the phone to a field in Pierson and found the suspect, identified as Luis Hernandez-Moncayo, on top of the woman as she screamed for help.

The woman, who later spoke to deputies, said she knew the suspect and that they had been drinking together. However, he turned violent after using cocaine. She said he attacked her multiple times, including strangling her.

Hernandez-Moncayo, 27, is charged with battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and attempted sexual battery. The sheriff’s office said he sought asylum the day before the incident.
