India Meteorological Department It warned that heavy showers would occur at isolated places over the sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Lakshadweep. Thunderstorms and lightning are expected to occur in Goa, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Tamil Nadu, Karaikal, Mahe and Puducherry from October 28 to October 30. IMD has also warned that there will be moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms and lightning in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Mahe, Puducherry and Lakshadweep all week long. Similar weather conditions are expected to prevail in Jammu-Kashmir, Muzaffarbad, Gilgit and Ladakh for the same period.

Hurricane Dana Update

More than 50,000 houses have been affected in the cyclone-affected areas of Odisha’s Balasore, Bhadrak and Kendrapara districts and power supply in their areas is yet to be restored. Prime Minister Mohan Charan Majhi stated. The CM stated that the restoration work has reached the final stage and the roads have been cleared of obstacles.

More than 8 lakh people were rescued and shifted to 6,210 shelter centres. Many rivers swelled, especially in the Bhadrak region, due to cyclone Dana, which caused heavy showers. Approximately 24 people were rescued from the flooded area.

Delhi Weather Update

The Met Department has stated that Delhi is likely to have clear skies on Monday. Minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to be around 20 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius. The national capital’s air quality has again fallen into the ‘very poor’ category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded to have risen to 355 by 4 pm on Sunday. Heavy pollution levels were noted in areas such as Burari, Bawana and Jahangirpuri. Similarly, air quality was recorded as ‘very poor’ in Noida, Faridabad, Gurugram and Ghaziabad.
