Clementi gets stabbed: Suspect taken to scene where he allegedly killed grassroots volunteer

SINGAPORE – The suspect in the fatal stabbing in Clementi was taken to the scene on October 28.

Surrounded by five police officers, 50-year-old Toh Chee Hong arrived at Block 311C Clementi Avenue 4 at around 10.20am.

he was Mr Winson, 41, was charged with murder for allegedly killing Khoo Chin Wah. On October 21 at Block 311B Clementi Avenue 4.

Wearing a red polo shirt, black shorts and slippers, Toh kept his head down as he walked past media and members of the public gathered outside the esplanade.

The suspect, whose hands and feet were handcuffed, was taken to the void deck and put into the elevator to go to a unit on the 19th floor, which was closed to the media.

At around 11.15am, he was taken to the void deck near the playground by seven police officers.

There they questioned him, looking down and shaking his head.

He also pointed to the ground and officers placed a sign near the sewer.

He was then taken to a nearby multi-storey car park around 11.30am. By then more than 50 people had gathered around the police cordon.

About 10 minutes later, Toh was placed in a black, unmarked vehicle that left the scene.

The exact weapon used in the alleged murder was not specified in court documents.

However, in the video footage recorded by citizens regarding the incident, it is seen that the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times with a small object at the bottom of Block 311B.

The People’s Association (PA) had said Mr Khoo was a volunteer from the public.
