Car set on fire near Glasgow primary school as police appeal for witnesses

Police are appealing for witnesses after a car was deliberately set on fire near a primary school in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to Leny Street, near High Park Primary School, at around 8.40pm on Saturday, October 26, following reports that a Nissan Qashqai was on fire.

It was stated that there were no injuries following the incident.

Investigators confirmed the fire was started deliberately and investigations are ongoing.

Police officer Fraser McGill said: “We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the fire to contact us.

“We would also appeal for anyone with specific CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward.”
