Bian Ruiying recalls transformation from ‘little fat boy’ to Chinese muscle goddess

A young Chinese woman who was body-shamed for her weight surprised many on Chinese social media by wearing traditional Chinese clothing that highlighted her impressive physique after 12 years of intense training.

The woman, known as Bian Ruiying, hails from Suzhou in China’s southeastern Jiangsu province and boasts 2.9 million followers on Douyin.

Recently, she shared her experience cosplaying as Wu Zetian, China’s first and only female emperor, during a visit to Luoyang in central Henan province.

He begins his video playfully, asking the question: “What is it like to visit Luoyang as an emperor?” and humorously adds: “Look at my physique – can I even portray Lin Daiyu?”
