Columbia Police Department officer in connection with isolated stabbing at fast food restaurant

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Investigators with the Columbia Police Department have charged a man in connection with an isolated stabbing at a fast food restaurant.

Shortly before 8 a.m. on Sunday morning, October 27, officers were dispatched to the Hardee’s on Fairfield Road in reference to a fight in progress.

When they arrived at the scene, two restaurant employees and a customer were found to have non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators believe Ira Grissett, 42, went to the restaurant to confront a male employee over a personal dispute.

Grissett faces multiple charges including attempted murder, assault and battery.

One victim remains in hospital.
