Jamie Dimon warns World War Three may have already begun

At the Institute of International Finance’s annual meeting in Washington DC, JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon warned that increasing conflicts and alliances among US rivals signal the early stages of a potential World War III.

Dimon underlined the simultaneous threats posed by the Russia-Ukraine war, increasing tensions in the Middle East, and increasing cooperation between countries such as Russia, China, North Korea and Iran.

“The risk is extraordinary,” Dimon warned, noting coordinated military actions in these regions and their potential to destabilize the global economy.

“Recent events show that conditions are dangerous and deteriorating,” he said, amid growing concern that U.S. adversaries are trying to dismantle the post-World War II global order.

Dimon’s perspective echoes the concerns of other financial leaders, including Bridgewater Associates founder Ray Dalio, who has warned of the “increasing likelihood” of a major conflict involving the United States and China.

Geopolitical strategist Ian Bremmer also recently drew attention to the instability of the current world order and drew attention to the increasing tensions that, if not resolved, could turn into a larger conflict.

Dimon emphasized that JPMorgan’s risk management teams analyze worst-case scenarios with alarming results. “We must approach these threats carefully and unitedly,” he said, underlining the importance of proactive diplomatic efforts to avoid dire consequences for global stability and economic security.
