The ending of Don’t Move on Netflix has been announced

Adam Schindler and Brian Netto don’t move It is an American thriller film starring Finn Witrrock, Kelsey Asbille Chow and Moray Treadwell. The film was released by Netflix on October 25, 2024 and was written by David White and TJ Cimfel.

The story centers around a woman named Iris (played by Kelsey Asbille) who recently lost her son and is saddened by his death. While trying to kill herself to get over her pain, she encounters a man named Richard (Finn Wittrock).

After talking to him, he changes his mind, but unknowingly falls into a trap that almost costs him his life. don’t move It explores Iris’ struggle to escape Richard, who eventually turns into a serial killer.

Even after suffering the effects of drug-induced paralysis, Iris fights the good fight. The plot unravels as she gradually regains the ability to move, and in a final confrontation, she manages to kill Richard while reflecting on her urge to live again.

Distribution rights don’t move It was first acquired in the UK and Ireland by Signature Entertainment in 2023. But earlier this year Netflix acquired global distribution rights. Here’s a look at the official synopsis for the thriller:

What happens in the end don’t move?

The film begins with a grieving Iris, who has recently lost her son Matteo in a tragic hiking accident. He visits the crime scene and just as he is about to commit suicide by jumping off a cliff, a handsome man appears. He introduces him as Richard, and after talking to him, Iris changes her mind.

He returns talking to her, but after a while Richard’s intentions become clear. He ties Iris up and injects her with a paralyzing agent, forcibly trapping her in his car. Unable to move on her own, Iris faces many difficulties while trying to fight Richard. He also receives help from a man named Bill and a police officer, both of whom die at Richard’s hands.

As we approach the end of the movie, we see the two fighting each other on a boat. Iris is lucky enough to grab a knife and stab Richard (now portrayed as Andrew) in the neck – he falls overboard. Iris then tries to shoot him with her gun, but misses and unintentionally pierces the torso.

He escapes the sinking boat and somehow swims to safety. Iris encounters a dying Richard on the shore (who manages to swim to the dock). She stands there and watches him in his final moments; She thinks that if it weren’t for his attacks, she would never have learned the will to live again.

The film ends with Iris standing over Richard and thanking him as he lies dying. Everything comes back to him when he realizes the gift of life and discovers the drive to continue. Ironically, Richard (who tried to kill him) opens his eyes. Asbille reportedly justified her character by saying:

“I believe it was a moment when Iris chose not just to survive, but to live. It resonated with me, too, struggling desperately to overcome something that paralyzed me.”

How does Richard lure Iris into his trap?

Richard manages to attract Iris not only with his appearance, but also with his persuasive way of speaking. Just as Iris is about to jump off the cliff, he appears there and dissuades her from doing so. He tells her the story of his high school girlfriend, Chloe, who died in a car accident.

Richard also adds how this whole incident has made him depressed; a state of completely impaired immobility. But he never loses hope and tells Iris that he wants her to do the same. So, by making up stories and speaking convincingly, Richard manages to get Iris’ attention just before he kidnaps her and tries to kill her.

How does Bill help Iris? don’t move?

After Iris manages to escape from Richard (after a brief fight), she runs through the forest. However, the paralyzing agent (which he injects into Richard’s blood) begins to take control and he slowly loses his ability to ‘move’.

Dragging her body towards the ground, Iris reaches the shore and floats downstream to an isolated piece of land. The property belongs to a man named Bill, who tries to communicate by looking at her blinking eyes.

He brings her back to his house and just as she is about to call 911 for help, Richard appears. This time he introduces himself as Andrews and claims that he is looking for his wife. Bill senses suspicion and calls 911 anyway. However, Andrews intervenes, attacks and kills Bill. Thus, Bill loses his life trying to protect Iris.
