The young man who had an accident with a mini loader was seriously injured

LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – A 15-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries following a crash involving a wheel loader in Linn County.

Crews from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, Linn County Rescue, Marion Fire, Area Ambulance and LifeGuard Air Ambulance responded to 1777 Martin Creek Road on Monday at 5:26 p.m.

Sheriff’s deputies said a man was moving a hay bale when the child became trapped between the wheel loader and the hay bale.

The child was transported by ambulance due to what the Sheriff’s Office said were life-threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
