Former child star John Wane Sace arrested for murder

FORMER child star John Wane Sace was arrested for killing his friend in Pasig City on Monday evening, October 28, 2024.

Sace shot and killed the 43-year-old victim in Barangay Sagad around 7:30 p.m., Pasig City police chief Col. Hendrix Mangaldan said in an interview.

The victim suffered four gunshot wounds that resulted in his instant death.

Sace was arrested at a hotel in Pasig on Tuesday morning, October 29.

“Ang nakikita namin dito na motibo ya personal grudge. Matagal na kasi accordingly na sila sa bawat isa at yun din naman ang sinasabi ng dubious natin nung nahuli natin … Magkabigan sila, magkakilala sila kasi iisang barangay sila, magkababata sila, he said.

(We see a personal grudge motive here. They were threatening each other and our suspect said this when we arrested him… They were childhood friends. They know each other because they are from the same barangay.)

“Walang turmoil na nangyari doon saka sa movement based niya, may plano siya talaga na patayin ‘yung tao,” he added.

(There was no commotion there, and judging by his movement, he actually had a plan to kill that person.)

A lawsuit will also be filed against Sace, who was detained due to drug addiction in recent years, on charges of murder. (TPM/SunStar Philippines)
