20 Thousand Dollar Reward for Information on Gang-Related Shootings

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a murder and a series of retaliatory shootings in Lancaster. , SC

On September 4, 18-year-old Jelani Jackson was killed in a drive-by shooting on Clinton Boulevard. There have been arrests in this case, but law enforcement wants to ensure that no stone is left unturned and that others are not involved in the murder is detected and charged appropriately.

The next day, Pardue St. Shots were fired at several residences at the intersection of St. and East Arch St. A second shooting occurred the same day, hitting several residences near 320 City Ave.

On September 7 at approximately 2:22 a.m. on Shelton St. One person was injured and many houses were damaged in the armed attack that took place near the area. A short time later, a shooting occurred on Cane Mill Road. and Oxford Circle. No injuries were reported in this incident.

A sixth drive-by shooting occurred on Foster Heights Dr. on September 11th. No injuries were reported after this incident. The suspect vehicle used in the shooting is believed to be a Dodge Charger.

“This violence will likely continue until those responsible are caught and brought to justice,” said ATF Special Agent in Charge Bennie Mims. “ATF and our federal and local law enforcement partners are committed to stopping this chain of violence and finding those responsible for Jelani’s death.

Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile encourages anyone with information about these shootings to come forward. “People expect to be safe in their homes,” Sheriff Faile said. “This indiscriminate shooting destroys property and injures and kills people, including those who had nothing to do with the disputes between the shooters. “These incidents must stop, and we are using all resources available both locally and from our federal partners to solve these shootings and put those behind them in prison.”
