Man accused of stabbing manager waives extradition, prepares to return to Ohio

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – The man accused of stabbing South Point Elementary School Principal Bill Christian has decided to voluntarily return to Ohio to face his charges.

Joshua Collins waived extradition Tuesday. Collins will now return to Lawrence County, Ohio to face charges related to the recent incident. Thursday’s stabbing.

Joshua Collins was arraigned Friday in Cabell County Magistrate Court on a charge of being a fugitive from justice.

Collins was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington for injuries sustained during the stabbing he is accused of committing at South Point Elementary School in Lawrence County, Ohio. He was arraigned on the charge in Cabell County while he was being treated at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

Court records also show Collins also faces stalking and threatening charges in Lawrence County. These accusations were made the day before the alleged stabbing on October 23.
