Video shows former UW football players attacking cyclist in road rage incident

SEATTLE — Newly released video shows two former UW football players attacking a cyclist earlier this year.

Diesel Gordon and Tylin ‘Tybo’ Rogers both indicted March attack and they are no longer on the team.

Rogers also facing rape allegations and has a separate felony case still pending in court.

Gordon pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and was sentenced to three days in jail, paid a small fine and completed 24 hours of community service.

Criminal cases against Rogers on rape and assault charges are still ongoing.

Newly released video shows former UW football players attacking a cyclist in a stairwell in an apparent road rage incident following an earlier altercation on the road.

In the video, both actors repeatedly spit on the victim, push him to the ground and kick his property.

According to the victim, he was on his way home after learning his roommate had died during the attack. Both Rogers and Gordon were arrested for the assault about a month later.

This all happened while Rogers was under investigation for two alleged rapes that occurred at the beginning of the school year in the fall of 2023.

According to the police report in the rape case, Rogers forced himself on both victims, violently choking and slapping one victim. The report also states that one of the alleged victims dropped out of school, lost his job and attempted suicide.

Rogers was briefly suspended from the team and reinstated in November 2023 while the rape allegations were investigated. He left the team in May and still Fighting rape and assault allegations in court.

Rogers is expected back in court Tuesday afternoon for a pre-trial hearing in the rape case. A trial date has been tentatively set for December.
