Theresa Paisley pleaded guilty before Chief District Court Judge Chester Crooks at the Kingston and St Andrew District Court to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assaulting a district police officer and resisting arrest.

However, he pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct.

The charges stem from an incident on October 15, 2024, when Paisley was brought to the police station for allegedly making a threat against a man.

While the man was reporting to police, Paisley began acting noisy at the police station, according to court documents.

An officer then attempted to arrest him, and Paisley reportedly punched the officer in the chest and grabbed the officer by his uniform.

The local police officer has been on sick leave since the incident.

Paisley is due to return to court on December 16, 2024, after the judge requested that the injured officer’s medical expenses be presented to the court.
