Dog that collapsed in Lebanon was rescued after nearly three days

LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Lebanon Fire Department (LFD) worked with the Wilson County Emergency Management Agency to assist in the rescue of a dog that fell into a ditch on Beasleys Bend Road.

According to LFD, the dog had been in the pit for approximately three days.

Officials said they were able to set up a rope system to lower firefighters into the hole, which was about 20 meters deep.

The dog named JoJo fell another two meters after firefighters descended to where the dog was found.

After approximately two hours of excavation, authorities were able to rescue JoJo and reunite him with his owners.
