Police searching for man in connection with rape investigation

Detectives investigating a serious sexual assault are appealing to the public to identify a man.

On 25 March, between 02:00 and 03:30 GMT, a person was raped at Colston Parade off Redcliff Hill in Bristol.

Police are looking for a man described as white, of medium build, between the ages of 25 and 30, in connection with the investigation.

Constable DC Ewan Brand said he “praised the bravery of the victim” when reporting the incident to police.

Mr Brand added: “I do not underestimate the strength and courage it must have taken.

“We are always careful to investigate the impact such incidents may have on the victim.

“We have been carrying out a number of investigations, such as examining forensic evidence, over the past months and we are now at the stage where we can make this objection.”

In the CCTV photo, the man is seen wearing a white sweater, a black vest and a white baseball cap.
