Stabbed victim taken to hospital abroad

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO. (KFVS) – A Caruthersville man was taken to an out-of-state hospital after being stabbed Tuesday evening, Oct. 29.

Officers were called to a verbal interview at an apartment on East Seventh Street in Caruthersville shortly after 5 p.m.

As police officers were heading towards the apartment building, they learned that someone had been stabbed and an ambulance was on the way.

When police arrived at the scene, they reported finding a 39-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.

According to Caruthersville Police, the victim told officers he was stabbed by a 39-year-old Kennett woman.

The victim was later taken to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, for treatment, police said.

His condition is unknown at this time.

The suspect was taken to the police headquarters for questioning and arrested.

He was booked into the Pemiscot County Justice Center on formal charges of domestic assault, first-degree serious injury and armed criminal action.
