A North Carolina man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with a shooting that left a teenager dead in Northwest D.C. earlier this year.

On May 18, D.C. authorities said they responded to the 1200 block of V Street for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a boy, later identified as 16-year-old Devon Sharp, suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
