Former Alabama DB dismissed from Auburn team for missing practice – Touchdown Alabama

A former Alabama linebacker was dismissed from the Auburn football program on Wednesday for violations of team rules that included missing several practices.

That’s Antonio Kite, former four-star and Anniston High School two-sport standout.

Kite signed with Alabama as part of the 2022 recruiting class. Coming out of high school, Kite was considered one of the standout athletes in the recruiting class of ’22, and rightly so. He played in the school’s football and basketball teams.

Kite played in nine games over two seasons in Tuscaloosa and did not record any statistics. Following the conclusion of the 2023 season, Kite entered the transfer portal and eventually signed with Auburn.

In eight games with Auburn, Kite recorded six tackles and one interception for 19 yards.

Things haven’t been going well for Kite up to this point in his college career. It will be interesting to see which route he decides to take next.
