Man arrested for fatal stabbing outside Western Sizzlin’

BOAZ, Ala.(WHEN) — The Boaz Police Department has arrested a man they believe is responsible for a fatal stabbing outside Western Sizzlin’.

According to the Boaz Police Department, 25-year-old River Reed Hammett was arrested for fatally stabbing Terfils Juste Saint, 38, in the Western Sizzlin parking lot around 2:20 p.m. Tuesday.

DPD: Man wanted for domestic violence surrendered

Officers said they found Saint dead and after a short chase, Hammett was taken into custody. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail and jail footage shows he was charged with murder.

BPD said their preliminary investigation showed the two did not know each other and this was an isolated incident.
