Schertz police say student brought explosives and threatened to hit Clemens High School

Authorities say student was arrested after admitting to threats

SCHERTZ, Texas – A student was arrested Wednesday afternoon after bringing explosives and threatening to shoot up Clemens High School, the Schertz Police Department said.

Officials said school administrators notified the high school resource officer, who then spoke with the student. Schertz police said the student admitted to making the threats.

Police said the student was arrested and charged with making terroristic threats, which is considered a third-degree crime.

Schertz police confirm Wednesday’s arrest is unrelated to the incident another event Tuesday at Clemens High School.

In the incident Tuesday, two Clemens students were arrested after officers found a gun inside a backpack on campus.
