Driver who killed passenger in wrong-way crash in Las Vegas faces DUI charges

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5)—Nevada State Police have identified the victim and suspect in a wrong-way crash near Boulder Highway.

NSP responded to the incident just before 3 a.m. on October 25. Two vehicles collided head-on.

According to police, a black 2023 Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound in the northbound lane.

The driver of the Toyota was identified as 22-year-old Alyssa Scott.

According to State Police, 18-year-old Marilyn Amilia Rodriguez was the passenger in the Toyota and later died at the hospital from her injuries.

Scott was booked into the Clark County Detention Center but is currently receiving care at an area hospital.

Scott is scheduled to appear in court on November 5.
