A woman who accused Sean Diddy Combs of sexually assaulting her at a party nearly 20 years ago has been ordered to identify herself by a judge in the Southern District of New York. It is reported that if he does not comply, the case will be rejected. Under the ruling issued by Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil, the woman identified in court documents as Jane Doe must reveal her name or face dismissal of her case, as reported by Page Six on Wednesday.

Judge Vyskocil recognized Doe’s legitimate interest in keeping her identity secret due to the sensitive nature of her allegations and the potential for intense public scrutiny regarding her personal life. But the judge noted that Doe chose to file a lawsuit against a prominent figure as an adult, accusing him of serious misconduct from nearly 20 years ago and also implicating several businesses in her allegations.

As a result, Vyskocil concluded that Doe did not meet the necessary burden to justify anonymity in this case. He has until Nov. 13 to amend his lawsuit to include his real name. The woman is among 120 victims represented by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee. Page Six has reached out to representatives for both Buzbee and Combs for comment.

In her legal filing, which was also provided to Page Six, Doe detailed an incident in which she and a friend were allegedly imprisoned in a New York City hotel room with Combs, now 54. According to him, the two were invited to an afterparty by Combs’ friends in 2004. She alleges that during this time, Combs assaulted her after threatening to kill her and her friend if they did not comply with his demands.

Combs’ representatives responded to these allegations via TMZ, asserting: “The truth will prevail in court: Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone, adult or minor, male or female.” Others Buzbee represents include victims of various ages, including minors. His allegations span almost three decades.

The Bad Boy Records founder faced multiple allegations of sexual assault and rape last year, all of which he has emphatically denied. These allegations gained further attention after his former partner Cassie Ventura accused him of rape and physical abuse in a troubling lawsuit filed in November 2023. The case was settled out of court within a day, but Combs’ legal team insisted the settlement went through. It does not indicate that he has admitted any guilt.

In September, Combs was arrested and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation for the purpose of prostitution. He is currently being held without bail at the notoriously harsh Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
