“I heard someone at practice say we hadn’t been to a bowl game in eight years. I think guaranteeing the fans one more game, possibly more playoff appearances, would mean a lot to this fan base. They have been through so much and have been so loyal to everyone. Going to a bowl game means a lot. “I think we just have to focus on winning this week and this week only and getting six wins.”

“I think seeing the field. It’s changed defensive coverage, post and pre-snap, and just the communication between our players and coaches. There’s been a lot of adjustments. A lot of things have changed since game one and I’m really excited about where we are right now.”

“I think Thomas (Fidone) has always been there for us. It’s always been emphasized the importance of getting the ball to him. Look, once he gets the ball, he goes and makes plays. I’m proud of Thomas, he’s been through a lot in his college career with his ACL and it’s been a lot of ups and downs for him.” He lived. He just stayed the course and grinds. Trying to see the future is later and it pays off.”

Linebacker Ty Robinson explains championship mentality

“I think the standard was raised even higher on Saturday. The great thing is that everyone can see that standard now. Everyone knows what it takes throughout the week and in practice to prepare for the game like that. The offensive coaches, for the first time, came to our coaches and said, ‘The defensive players on the scout team are walking around today, “He was making plays, being aggressive and making them better and better.” Likewise, our scout offense has done a great job of getting us ready all year long and I think that’s why we’ve been so dominant defensively, we’ve got to continue to exceed that standard every practice and every day. .”

“Pac-12 is good football. When I figured it out in high school, they were more of a passing league. Their offense is good, their running backs are good, their ends are good, their forwards are good. Their QB is not only mobile and can throw the ball, but they also have great vision. I’m excited to dig deeper. This morning we learned about some of their tendencies and began to dig into them. That will be today’s topic, learning a little more.”

“They’re a fundamentally solid team. They have a good playmaker and defenders. Coming back should be a great test for us. I’m excited to compete with them. I’ve grown up playing against a lot of teams. It’s been a good test for our team.”

“I think there’s always room for improvement. We always want to eliminate three-pass plays. We’ve faced good players, but we’ve also got good players. I know we can compete with the guys we’re up against. I think it’s more of a confirmation of what we can do than a confidence booster.”
