Biden’s ‘lock him up’ attack on Trump reveals desperate Democratic agenda

Last week in New Hampshire, Joe Biden accidentally revealed what Donald Trump and his supporters have long claimed: that the Justice Department’s investigation into Trump is entirely political.

Slip of the tongue or not, Biden spelled out Democrats’ real strategy for preventing the former Republican president from taking back the White House: “put him in jail.”

“So I know this sounds weird. (If) I had said this five years ago, you would have put me in jail. We need to lock him up,” Biden said during a trip to the Granite State.

“Lock him up politically,” the stumbling president added as the crowd applauded. “Lock him up. This is what we have to do.”

Lock him up. Keep him out. What’s the difference? The gaffe, made during a conversation with campaign workers in Concord, echoed the “Lock her up” slogan Republicans made to Hillary Clinton eight years ago.

But Biden’s comment underscores Democrats’ plans to prevent Trump from declaring victory with a lengthy court battle if necessary.

While it cheers Democrats up, it does incredible damage to Kamala Harris’ campaign and the Justice Department’s case against Trump.

This not only galvanizes Trump supporters, but also strengthens their belief that the Biden administration is using “law enforcement” to imprison the former Republican president and prevent him from reoccupying the Oval Office.

That’s why Trump has only made gains or held steady in the polls since he was convicted of a felony and charged with trying to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.

That’s why Harris stopped her supporters from chanting “lock her up” on the campaign trail. “The courts will sort this out,” he said.

We now know why Democrats kept Biden off the campaign trail or sent him to relatively strong Democratic states like New Hampshire.

While some in the media ignored Biden’s mistake, others downplayed it; just as they ignored or downplayed other verbal missteps throughout his presidency.

“He made his words clear,” former Biden press secretary Kendra Barkoff told CNN. “He said, you know, leave him out, and I think he said those words politically, but he clarified it pretty quickly, within hours.”

But it went viral on social media, and Trump and his followers took notice.

“This is the ‘narrative’ of why the Democratic machine is working feverishly to imprison Trump. This was all intentional,” wrote Trump activist Charlie Kirk.

“Joe Biden just admitted the truth,” Trump spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said. “He and Kamala’s plan all along was to politically persecute their opponent, President Trump, because they cannot beat him fair and square. “We call on Kamala Harris to condemn Joe Biden’s shameful remarks.”

Harris did not, and Biden’s aides attributed the comment to a brief slip of the tongue.

But there was no slip of the tongue. This was an incredibly revealing inside look at what the Biden administration actually did to Trump.
