Woman was taken to hospital after car crashed into barber shop in Gornal

The crash happened in Gornal Wood just before noon when the car backed into Top Cuts Hair by Dave on Louise Street, causing extensive damage to the store.

Police confirmed that the road was still closed for accident investigations as of 1.15pm.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called to an incident on Louise Street in Gornal Wood, Dudley, at around 11.55am.

“An ambulance and paramedics were sent to the scene, upon arrival crews discovered a car had crashed into a building.

“The driver, a woman, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment.”
