One dead, two injured in crash in Palmerston North

One person died and two others were injured in an overnight accident in Palmerston North.

Police said they were called to John F Kennedy Drive at 1.50pm on Friday.

Only one vehicle was involved in the accident.

One person died at the scene, and two people were taken to hospital, one in critical condition and the other in critical condition.

The serious accident unit launched an investigation.
