ROSEAU, Minn. – A rural Warroad man has pleaded guilty to shooting his wife to death in August last year.

David Corneliusen, 65, was offered the Norgaard plea, who did not remember the crime but admitted his role in the death. The trial that was to start next week has been cancelled. He was charged with second-degree murder.

Corneliusen said he shot his wife, Mary, with a gun after an argument. He will be sentenced on December 16.

He faces up to 40 years in prison.
