KCEN news anchor Kris Radcliffe dies at 51

CENTRAL TEXAS (FOX 44) – As FOX 44 News, we mourn the loss of our journalist who passed away suddenly on Wednesday.

Kris Radcliffe was the host of KCEN TV in Temple, Texas at 5, 6 and 10 p.m. He had been working at the station for 22 years. by television channel. Radcliffe worked in broadcasting in Nebraska and California before coming to Central Texas.

Viewers enjoyed all of Radcliffe’s roles on KCEN. He was a sports anchor and worked as a morning news anchor for nine years before moving on to later news programs.

According to KCEN, some of the stories Kris has covered over the years include the Baylor Men’s Basketball scandal, Columbia’s departure from Texas, the Lady Bears 3 National Championships, and also the Heisman Trophy. In more recent years, Radcliffe covered the two Fort Hood attacks, the Western Fertilizer Plant Explosion and the biker shootout at Twin Peaks, and then came full circle and covered the Baylor Men’s Basketball National Championship.

Kris leaves behind his wife, two daughters, a grandson and a granddaughter. KCEN said Kris considers himself a truly blessed man.

Kris Radcliffe’s impact on this community is profound and the proof is in the kind words from viewers, local businesses and all the charities Kris supports. He was a kind and generous soul who brought joy to everyone around him. It’s so hard to say goodbye.”
