Sussex Road, Harrow stabbing: Murder investigation as man dies

It came after police were called to Sussex Road by the London Ambulance Service just before 4.40pm on October 30 to reports of an injury at an address.

A 48-year-old man was found at the scene with stab wounds.

He later died in the hospital to which he was taken at 14.35 on October 31.

His family has been notified and an autopsy will be performed in due course.

The 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after being taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

He remains in custody at a police station in north London.

Det Insp Luke Hampton said: “This is a complex scene with multiple occupants at the address.

“We have made an arrest and our investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

“At this early stage we believe this is an isolated incident and there is no apparent risk to the public.

“A man lost his life and a family received the worst possible news. If you have information, please do not hesitate to contact us.”

Police confirmed people in the area will have an increased police presence following the incident.
