7th Congressional District candidates discuss economy, IVF and gun violence

Next Tuesday, residents of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District will vote to represent them in the U.S. House of Representatives, with incumbent Democratic Congresswoman Terri Sewell and Republican candidate Dr. Robin will choose between Litaker. The district includes Choctaw, Dallas, Greene, Hale, Lowndes, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Sumter and Wilcox counties, as well as parts of Clarke, Jefferson and Tuscaloosa counties.

Sewell He is in his seventh term representing the 7th District. He is a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, the Armed Services Committee, and the House Administration Committee, where he is the Ranking Member of the Select Subcommittee.

Litaker He has 32 years of experience in Alabama’s public education system, serving as a teacher and principal in the Mobile and Hoover City Schools systems. He is the founder of the Alabama Educators Conference.
