US imposes sanctions on 19 Indian entities over Russia’s war

The USA imposed sanctions on approximately 400 organizations and individuals, 19 of which were from India, on the grounds that they “allow Russia to continue its illegal war”.

Both listed from India are private entities and have nothing to do with the government.

The US State Department gave a breakdown, saying it had imposed sanctions on more than 120 individuals and organizations. Simultaneously, the U.S. Treasury Department identified over 270 individuals and organizations. Indian organizations and individuals are included in these two lists.

The State Department said its aim was to “prevent sanctions evasion and target assets in several countries, including China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey and the UAE.” He wanted to disrupt the networks and channels through which Russia supplied technology and equipment.
