It was stated that the audio recording file released by the Democratic Party of Korea in June last year was evidence that President Yoon Suk Yeol interfered in the nomination process when he was elected.

For this reason, attention is drawn to the investigation carried out by the prosecutor’s office against Myung Tae-kyun and former MP Kim Young-sun, who are the key figures in the alleged interference in the candidacy.

The prosecution considers the 90 million won exchanged between former MPs Kim and Myung after the by-election to be a violation of the Political Funds Law.

Accordingly, the prosecutor’s office is closely examining the tablet computers and mobile phones, which were first secured by seizing and searching Myung’s house twice.

We also plan to call Kang back to investigate if necessary, while comparing the approximately 27,000 recorded files secured by Kang Hye-kyung.

The prosecution will subpoena Myung and former MP Kim after confirming the basic facts.

First of all, the first person to be called was former MP Kim.

Considering the degree of analysis of the seized material and former MP Kim’s schedule, it is highly likely that he will be summoned next week.

It is expected that the timing of Myung’s summoning, which forms the basis of suspicion, will be determined after the investigation of former MP Kim and the examination of Myung’s mobile phone, which was recently confiscated.
