He was found guilty of burglary at Minshull Street Crown Court last week and sentenced to four years in prison.

PC William Loughran, of Greater Manchester Police, said after sentencing: “Islam was of absolutely no importance as he broke into small businesses in the Whitefield area of ​​Bury and stole money from owners who were rightly shocked to see Islam plundering their livelihoods.

‘Islam is a career criminal who has absolutely no right to so brazenly enter a place and take something that doesn’t belong to him.’

“I would like to thank the victims, everyone in the police force who played a role in arresting Islam and everyone involved in this investigation that brought Islam to justice, including our crime scene investigators who were able to prove that he was responsible for this spate of crimes.”
