Police arrest 2 more people in connection with shooting in Brampton

Peel police have arrested two more men in connection with a deadly shooting in Brampton in August, bringing the total number of defendants to three.

They said at the time that police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a residential driveway on Millstone Drive in Brampton on Aug. 30. When they arrived, they found a man dead in the vehicle, having been shot.

Shortly before midnight that same day, police arrested a 23-year-old man from Brampton and charged him with first-degree murder, according to a Sept. 2 news release.

In a news release Saturday, police said they charged a 21-year-old man from Brampton with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the shooting.

An 18-year-old man from Brampton was also charged with involuntary manslaughter. Police said he was a young boy at the time of the incident.

Both men were held at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for bail hearings.

Police said they would not release the identity of the victim at the family’s request.
