Hyderabad man throws dog that bit his son from two-storey building

HYDERABAD: A man was arrested for killing a dog by stabbing it and throwing it from a two-storey building in Jummerath Bazar on Saturday. The named defendant satyanarayanaIt was claimed that he acted in anger after his son, who worked as a daily wage worker, was bitten by a stray dog.
According to police reports, the conflict started when Satyanarayana’s son set off fireworks outside. The dog, disturbed by the sound of crackers, bit the child’s hand. “After learning about this, an angry Satyanarayana attacked the dog, leading to its death,” said a police official investigating the incident.
In a video recorded by residents, Satyanarayana brandished a stick and threatened a bystander who questioned his actions. Despite attempts by others to intervene, she defended her behavior by claiming it was in response to her child’s injury.
It was reported that the child was treated for bite and scratch wounds and his condition was stable. Satyanarayana lives with his wife and two sons in the building where the dog’s remains were found. After the incident, the person threw the dog’s carcass into the Musi River, and it was later taken from there by the police for autopsy.
Shainayath Gunj police registered a case against Satyanarayana under Article 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (Making mischief by killing or maiming animal). Police officials stated that additional charges related to the attack on bystanders may be pursued following subsequent complaints.
