Slow moving traffic on major highways to Klang Valley

KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic slows down on major highways leading to the Klang Valley from 5pm on Sunday (November 3) as commuters head back to the capital after the Deepavali holiday last Thursday.

A Malaysian Highways Authority (LLM) spokesman said traffic on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) E1 was moving slowly from Jawi to Bandar Baharu, Bukit Merah to Taiping Utara, Kuala Kangsar to Meru Tunnel and Simpang Pulai. He said he was reported to have done so. To Tapah.

“Traffic is also slow from Bidor to Sungai due to an accident at KM366.7 and from Lembah Beringin to Bukit Tagar due to another accident blocking the emergency lane at KM419.3,” he said when contacted.

Traffic is slow on PLUS E2 from Simpang Ampat to Pedas Linggi, Senawang to Port Dickson Utara, Seremban to Nilai, Putra Mahkota to Southville City and towards the city center after Sungai Besi Toll Plaza .

“On the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway (E8), traffic is slow from Karak to Bentong, Lenteng to Bukit Tinggi and KM29 towards Gombak Toll Plaza,” he added.

LLM activated 26 smart lanes across the country on highways on Sunday to ease congestion.
