Shooting in Raleigh | Man seriously injured when shot at graduation ceremony near Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — A man was seriously injured when he was shot near Shaw University Sunday morning.

The incident occurred in the 700 block of South Person Street in Raleigh.

Police were called around 12:40 a.m. and found a man with a gunshot wound. According to investigators, the victim was attending a homecoming event.

The man was taken to hospital.

There are no suspects currently in custody. This is an ongoing investigation.
