Doctor who sent birthday invitation to patient accused of rape and kidnapping

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — Criminal charges have been filed against a doctor from the Spanish town of St Catherine rape, forcible abduction and serious sexual assault After inviting a patient to a birthday celebration, he allegedly had sex with the patient against her will.

According to reports from the Center for the Investigation of Sexual Crimes and Child Abuse (CISOCA), on Wednesday, August 28, a woman visited the doctor’s office for a consultation and was later sent a text message inviting her to a birthday celebration.

The woman agreed and attended the event but was later taken to various locations.

At around 12.45, the woman wanted to be taken home. However, it was alleged that the doctor took the woman to his home and had sexual intercourse there without her consent.

A report was made to the police and the suspect was arrested and a criminal complaint was subsequently filed following a question and answer session. The court date is being finalized.
