Social media friend who stabbed woman and her sister was arrested

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A youth has been arrested for stabbing a woman and her sister following an argument in Lasudia district on Sunday. The defendant was a friend of the woman on social media and went to her house to meet her.

According to the police, the 23-year-old woman and her younger sister, a resident of Tulsi Nagar, were attacked by the accused, Ritesh Rathore, a resident of Palda area of ​​the city. The woman had informed the police that she had become friends with the accused through a social media platform.

On November 1, the defendant reached her home and told her to move around with him. The woman refused this request after the defendant mistreated her and later attacked her with a knife. While his sister, who was at the scene, tried to intervene in the incident, she was also injured in the incident.

The suspect, who attacked the women, later managed to escape. The police gathered information about the defendant and managed to arrest him within a few hours.

Police said the accused is a criminal and has around 15 criminal cases registered against him. In this case, the police also arrested a minor who was with him at the time of the incident and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
